Some Islamic Songs About Mother

Nothing special yesterday for me. In the morning I must move to my friend's boarding house because there was a fogging program from Dinas Kesehatan. In my friend's boarding house, i watched a news program about mother's day. Owh...yesterday was December, 22nd. Indonesian celebrated mother's day. But, I didn't celebrate it. Because every day we must do something special for our mom and makes all the days are special for our mom. Mother's day in Indonesia is different with mother's day in the world. In the world, people celebrate mother's day on the 2nd Sunday of May (if i'm not mistaken ^_^).
I will not talk about mother's day anymore in this posting. I just want to share some islamic songs about mother which I like. Some of them are:
  1. My Mom is Amazing, by Zain Bhikha
  2. Your Mother, by Yusuf Islam
  3. Ummi, by Ahmed Bukhatir
  4. Satu Rindu, by Opick feat Amanda
There are a lot of songs about mother but I like those 4 songs. Do you know those songs and the lyrics? Here they are, except entitled Ummi (it's arabic and i don't understand the meaning, he...).
My Mom is Amazing, by Zain Bhikha

She wakes up early in the morning with a smile
And she holds my head up high
Don't you ever let anybody put you down
Cos you are my little angel

Then she makes something warm for me to drink
Cos it's cold out there, she thinks
Then she walks me to school, Yes I aint no fool
I just think my Mom is amazing

BRIDGE/CHORUS
She makes me feel
Like I can do anything
and when she's with me
there's no where else, I'd rather be…

After School, she's waiting by the gate
I'm so happy that I just can't wait
To get home to tell her how my day went
And eat the yummy food, only my Mom makes

Then I wind her up cos I don't wanna bath
And we run around the house with a laugh
No matter what I say, she gets her way
I think my Mom is amazing

BRIDGE/CHORUS
Then I wake up in the morning, she's not there
And I realize she never was
And I'm still here in this lonely orphanage
With so many just like me

And as my dreams begin to fade
I try hard to look forward to my day
But there's a pain in my heart that's a craving
How I wish I had a Mom that's amazing
Would be amazing

Your Mother, by Yusuf Islam

Who should I give my love to?My respect and my honor toWho should I pay good mind to?After AllahAnd Rasulullah

Comes your motherWho next? Your motherWho next? Your motherAnd then your father

Cause who used to hold youAnd clean you and clothes youWho used to feed you?And always be with youWhen you were sickStay up all nightHolding you tightThat's right no otherYour mother (My mother)

Who should I take good care of?Giving all my loveWho should I think most of?After AllahAnd Rasulullah

Comes your motherWho next? Your motherWho next? Your motherAnd then your father

Cause who used to hear youBefore you could talkWho used to hold you? Before you could walkAnd when you fell who picked you upClean your cutNo one but your motherMy mother

Who should I stay right close to?Listen most toNever say no toAfter AllahAnd Rasulullah

Comes your motherWho next? Your motherWho next? Your motherAnd then your father

Cause who used to hug youAnd buy you new clothescomb your hairAnd blow your noseAnd when you cryWho wiped your tears?Knows your fearsWho really cares? My mother

Say AlhamdulillahThank you AllahThank you AllahFor my mother.
Satu Rindu, by Opick feat Amanda
Hujan teringatkan aku
Tentang satu rindu
Dimasa yang lalu
Saat mimpi masih indah bersamamu

Terbayang satu wajah
Penuh cinta penuh kasih
Terbayang satu wajah
Penuh dengan kehangatan
Kau ibu Oh ibu

Alloh izinkanlah aku
Bahagiakan dia
Meski dia telah jauh
Biarkanlah aku
Berarti untuk dirinya
oh ibu oh ibu kau ibu

Terbayang satu wajah
Penuh cinta penuh kasih
Terbayang satu wajah
Penuh dengan kehangatan
Kau ibu

Terbayang satu wajah
Penuh cinta penuh kasih
Terbayang satu wajah
Penuh dengan kehangatan
Kau ibu oh ibu kau ibu
oh ibu oh ibu

Hujan teringatkan aku
Tentang satu rindu
Dimasa yang lalu
Saat mimpi masih indah bersamamu
Kau ibu kau ibu kau ibu
